Give your treasured taonga a new lease on life with our professional rebinding service.

We offer traditional hand rebinding for pounamu taonga, completed by hand with care and respect for each piece.

Traditional Hand Rebinding

Choose from:

• Plain Cord — $50
• 3-Plaited Cord — $65

Each binding is completed by hand and carefully fitted to your taonga.

How It Works

Simply bring your taonga to us at one of our weekly markets:

Howick Village Market
Every Saturday
8:00am – 12:30pm

The Village Farmers' Market at Bell House
First Sunday of the month
9:00am – 2:00pm

We'll take your taonga home with us to complete the rebinding.

Your taonga will normally be ready for collection from the same market the following week/month.

Important

This service is for rebinding/restringing only.

If your pounamu is cracked, broken or otherwise damaged, please talk to us before leaving your taonga with us. Repair work is assessed separately and may require a different process.
